Welcome to the Workspace Administration tutorial for the APR Design® Assessment Tool! In this video, you'll be walked through managing team permissions, customizing measurement units, and creating custom data fields to tailor the platform to your organization's workflow.

What You'll Learn in This Video

  • User & Seat Management: Track 30-day workspace activity, monitor seat consumption, invite new team members via email, and remove existing users when necessary.
  • Role-Based Permissions: Learn how default roles (Admin and Workspace Member) work, create custom roles (such as "Packaging Engineers") with additive permissions, and assign them in the user table.
  • Workspace Measurement Units & Currency: Customize global settings - such as dimension units (e.g., inches vs. centimeters), volume units (e.g., gallons vs. liters), and display currency - that update across all projects.
  • Custom Data Fields: Configure tailored metadata fields at the Project, Packaging, or Component level (e.g., Brand selection picklists or Supplier tracking) to capture additional business data.

Pro-Tip: Exercise caution when deleting custom data fields in Workspace Settings, as removing a field permanently deletes all stored data associated with that field across every project in your workspace!
